Matt Forrest is the Director of Spatial Data Science at CARTO, which focuses on creating tools that solve geospatial problems. Using advanced spatial data science techniques, Matt works to find solutions to business questions by understanding the role that space and place have on companies across many industries. Matt has been working in geospatial for 10 years and is also an award-winning cartographer, having graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with degrees in Geography and Sociology.
Lorn Davis leads corporate and product strategy at Facteus. Lorn brings in-depth experience in strategy development and product management from his work at SeraCare Life Sciences where he was the Senior Director of Data Products & Analytics and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. Prior to Joining SeraCare, he worked as a consultant leading data analytics teams engaged with large government and private organizations. Lorn earned his BA in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College (NM) and his MBA from Harvard Business School with a focus on technology and entrepreneurship.
Tim is a co-founder and CEO of BattleFin Group Inc. BattleFin is an ecosystem focused on bringing alternative data to the world through BattleFin’s Ensemble© Technology Platform. He has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Tim was the President and a Partner at Lion’s Path Capital, a hedge fund strategy incubator where he allocated capital to 30 fundamental and systematic portfolio managers since the launch in 2009. From January 2006 until 2009, Mr. Harrington was a Portfolio Manager at J.P. Morgan Ventures where he was in charge of Global Technology, Media & Telecom Investments. From February 2002 until January 2006 he was a Telecom & Media Portfolio Manager at Sigma Capital, a subsidiary of SAC Capital. Mr. Harrington graduated from Columbia College in 1998. He was a member of the Columbia University Judiciary Board as well as a member of the varsity crew team.
