Guillaume is vice president, head of ESG and Investment Stewardship for American Century Investments®.

Guillaume leads the firm's environmental, social and governance (ESG) investment research and stewardship effort. Using a proprietary analytical framework, his team integrates financially-material ESG factors into a team's investment process and conducts ESG research to augment the financially-driven research created by the firm's investment teams. Guillaume also manages the incorporation of ESG matters in the firm's proxy voting process and drives the development of new ESG-oriented products.

Prior to joining American Century Investments in 2017, Guillaume was a vice president, ESG credit research at Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO), where he was responsible for analyzing and integrating ESG risk factors into PIMCO's credit research process. Before joining PIMCO, he was a senior ESG analyst at MSCI. In this role, he conducted impact investment research and risk analysis on global utilities, midstream oil and gas and electrical equipment companies.

Guillaume earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in international affairs from the University of Quebec in Montreal. He also holds a master's degree in international business and economics from The Fletcher School at Tufts University.

M. Nicolas J. Firzli is Director-General of the World Pensions Council (WPC), the think-tank & international association of pension and retirement funds. He is a graduate of Canada’s McGill University (Statistics & Financial Economics), an alumnus of the HEC School of Management (MBA Corporate Strategy & Marketing) and the University of Paris Law School (LL.M. Corporate Law, summa cum laude) and has conducted research at the University of Louvain (UCL) Doctoral School of Economics and Management in Waals Brabant.

Mr. Firzli is co-chair of the World Pensions Forum (WPF) held annually in a G7 capital, co-chair & director of the Singapore Economic Forum (SEF APAC Summit) and cofounding-member & advisory councillor of the World Bank Group Global Infrastructure Facility (GIF).

He has chaired the main Asset Owners Roundtable of the 2015 Climate Change Conference (Paris COP 21 Summit) and (co)authored and helped develop key notions such as “Modern Trusteeship and Fiduciary Capitalism,” “The SDG–Driven World Economy”, “The Pension Wealth of Nations,” “Sustainable Finance Shifting the Trillions,” “The Geoeconomic Century,” and “Infrastructure as an Asset Class.”
 
The World Pensions Council (WPC) is a Paris-based think-tank and international association of pension and retirement funds. The research and advocacy programmes we oversee bring together asset owners, policy makers and academic thought leaders from across G7/G12 nations, Greater China, Australia and emerging markets & developing economies (EMDEs), focusing more particularly on the evolving fiduciary role of pension, sovereign wealth fund and insurance executives and board members (trustees) in relation to ESG & the UN SDGs Agenda – notably corporate governance, green growth, technological innovation and social inclusion.
